Caspar J.A. Hobbs was appointed to Interactive Data's Board of Directors in November 2006. Mr. Hobbs is a co-founder and current chief executive officer of the London-based Mergermarket Group, where he is responsible for overseeing strategy, expansion, sales and marketing, and general management of this financial information company. Mergermarket, which was founded in 1999 and acquired by Pearson plc in August 2006, specializes in delivering mergers and acquisition news and tools, as well as other specialized services to the financial community. |
Prior to co-founding Mergermarket, Mr. Hobbs worked at Financial News and, before that, he served as an officer in the British Army. He was educated at the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst and INSEAD. |
