Sprint Partners with eSignal to Deliver Stock Market Quotes to the Sprint PCS "My Wireless Web"

- eSignal Quotes Now Available on Sprint PCS Internet-Ready Phones Via the Nation’s

(December 13, 2000) – Sprint PCS (NYSE: PCS), the nation’s fastest growing wireless carrier, and eSignal, Data Broadcasting Corporation’s (Nasdaq: DBCC) (DBC) retail provider of real-time financial and business information to individual investors, today announced that eSignal quotes have been added to the Sprint PCS “My Wireless Web.” The new venture makes eSignal’s wireless stock market coverage available to Sprint PCS customers on 18 Internet-ready Phones via the nation’s largest all-digital, all-CDMA seamless wireless network.

The eSignal service will enable traders and investors to receive portable market indices; market quotes from the NYSE, Nasdaq and AMEX exchanges; breaking news; gainers and losers data; and fundamental data such as 52-week highs and lows, EPS, P/E ratios, dividend rates, yields, outstanding shares and market caps – all at the touch of a button from any Sprint PCS Internet-ready Phone. The service will appeal to individual investors looking for a simple and easy way to track their portfolios. Customers have the option of modifying their watch list via their Sprint PCS Phone or PC, and any changes to their portfolios are automatically updated in eSignal’s database. eSignal offers delayed quotes for up to 20 stocks, or with a monthly fee, real-time data for up to 40 stocks.

Customers can choose Sprint PCS Wireless Web as their free option as part of any Sprint PCS Free & Clear Plan to use their minutes for voice or data. Sprint PCS customers who do not choose a Wireless Web Service Plan can still access the service for a default per-minute rate.

There's no software to install and complete the setup process for My Wireless Web, and the new personal page is available to customers on their phones within seconds. There is no additional charge for using My Wireless Web. Normal airtime charges apply when using the Sprint PCS Wireless Web Browser.
